Please give us a brief summary of the history of UBS’s operations in China?
UBS was an early entrant to China, and this dates back to being the first Swiss bank to establish a presence in the Asia Pacific region in 1965. We started offering corporate finance services to Chinese companies in 1985 and this was followed by opening representative offices in Shanghai and Beijing in 1989.
